Sorry for your loss, that was a tough day I'm sure. For what it's worth, you got a beautiful there. Can you copyright it and sell it at a photography show?
What is your thoughts on not updating? I have updated and set it up when I got it going on over a year ago. Have not plugged into a computer since either remote or Phantom. Both seem to react OK, no issues other than me here and there. When reading firmware forums it seems like I see more bad...
I got my whole set up on Friday, installed Saturday morning. Very cool, especially when you lose it in the sky and look at the monitor to see where you are. thank you all for the recommendations. I do appreciate it.
Now I'm on the hunt for a case that'll hold it all.
I think I might hit the reset button just so I can get more baby teeth to pull out. Too bad we discovered this late in the childhood we only have a few more teeth.
Thanks, I will look into that. It have always bothered me. I've watched some YouTube videos on the install, seems easy really. I guess I will have to turn the GoPro right side up as to connect it to the gimbal now? I use it upside-down woks well for me.
Does this setup open up ground station...
Sorry, yes GOPRO 3+Black and a H3-3D Gimbal. Thanks guys!
Actually it is cheaper with that package than getting it separate. This is almost identical it what Jason recommended....Soon I will have eyes to see with!
Have a Phantom 2 and want to now do the FPV. Here is what I am looking at...
DJI 5.8 500mw video down link set up and obviously a monitor of sorts. So it is my understanding that this set up doesn't give flight data (please forgive me if I do not use correct lingo) such as altitude, speed and...
Yes, but also keep in mind the unit uses cell service. I've really never been able to not locate when testing. I do it every flight to ensure I have signal.
When I don't want to edit the landing gear out of the video I will simply mount the GP upside down and invert the video. I just use the GP battery and move the ribbon cable out of the way. It has worked fine for me. I have not modified the strap to hold the GP. Just my 2 cents.
So I am getting conflicting information. What are the correct size for the phantom 2, the silver stock motors? Yes, I did search but found more I for people finding g their bearings and removal of. LOL.
Thanks Dave.
I guess I really don't have the perception of how far I am out there. I basically went up took a video and came down. But you see the you tube videos of people carelessly (sorry if I offend anyone) ascending into and past the clouds. I would be a bit uneasy yes for manned aircraft but as well as...
Well ya...good assumption. I guess to clarify I'd like to know how far the transmitter will connect safely to the Phantom. Assuming all the batteries are fully charged and you have a good line of sight.
I did a search online and in the fourm and I really can't find anything on how high the P2 can go. Please forgive me if it is out there I just didn't see it.
I'd like to touch the clouds but in the same breath I don't wanna lose my equipment.
Thanks!
