You probably fly most flights within the 500m range.
Here in Australia we need to fly within visual sight at any rate.
P3P is a classic bird in the whole range. I got it from the very first few birds when they released them and totally happy in every way with it, never had an issue either with it.
I'm amazed that you are allowed to do night flying.
Here in Australia we are not allowed by CASA Rules for Drones to do any night flying at all. If I am wrong I would be glad to be corrected.
Yes, the screen is to dim on the ipads. Went out and found at Cheap as Chips a VR-Box. I put my iphone 5c into the slide and fly now FPV , cost AUD 20.-.
I might be a little out of turn here, but my motors on a P3P will not even start when it's showing compass error. Calibrate the compass ( which I always do when I fly in a new spot) and all is well. Don't know what would happen if compass error suddenly happen during flight.
In my experience it's not so❗️
Starting with a fully charged battery never shows up with a critical or below 3.6V drop. But if I start with 70, or 50 or 60% charged battery, I see invariably on full stick movements a voltage drop into the yellow and or even red voltage.
My conclusion is start...
Yes, I believe you have to increment up if your bird version is to far away from v1.8.
I've always uograded the Fw as it become available and never had any trouble that way.
Hope you get it going alright. These things can be very very frustrating.
