Yeah I chose to Metra train parking lot on a Sunday cause I knew it would be empty. Plus the light poles in the parking lot are shorter and are straight vertical. When I set the follow-me distances I set the P3P at a height where it would fly over all the light poles so that was not a concern...
Thanks. I wanted to be sure of the limitations and capabilities before I use it in the real situation. I definitely wouldn't trust it in any situation where the movement is fast and there are misc obstacles like trees or telephone poles
Just posted my follow-me test run. Wanted to understand the capabilities of the follow-me feature so I can plan accordingly for actual shoots. Any feedback is greatly appreciated
I only had a chance to play with the follow me feature for a couple of minutes but I was definitely impressed. One thing I did not test was if I walked towards the drone, would the drone also back up maintaining a constant distance from the remote?
I've had similar issues with compass errors when flying around skyscraper where the P3P just randomly drifts and it's very difficult to control to avoid crashing. Luckily for me I was within 130-150 ft high so the distance to decend wasn't horrible. Almost got a heart attack though
I noticed that some advertised backpacks for the P3P on ebay seems to be a repurposed camera bag. Does anyone know of a decent camera bag that can be used for the P3P.
I personally want a discrete bag that doesn't scream "I'm carrying a drone"
I'm glad I found this thread. About a week and a half ago I had a small wipeout with my P3P where it flipped a couple time on the grass (Testing out the bottom sensor and it wasn't adjusting fast enough for the speed I was going at....I'm dumb)
Anyways, been shooting 4k video a little before...
This guy is extremely dumb. Even if he didn't crash, there would have been media all over this if a flying drone was identified over the US Open giving drones. More bad press.
Hey anyone want to go fly drones over a nationally televised presidential debate, or how about the Superbowl? Dumb
