I make sure that I have a minimum of 9 GPS Satellites connected before I lift off. If I have not heard the "Home Point" announcement, I slide my screen from right to left. That allows you to set the home point manually, along with brightness....etc. Great short cut, I hope it works for you...

What many of us have used is the larger handwarmer taped to the bottom of our "phone", "tablet" to keep it warm. Hand warmers in my mittens and on the tablet works well for me all winter.
