    Have you crashed?

Very impressive, even more so because of first flight! I wouldn’t have the nerve, even after two years of flying!

P4 Advanced Crashed and Lost! Is it Traceable?

IF you could locate it on the cliff face somewhere, using another quadcopter, it has occurred to me that you may not have to go 'rappeling'. I have seen on the net a self closing grappling claw designed for retrieving objects using a quad. There are two sizes of claw. Food for thought? Ha ha...

P4 Advanced Crashed and Lost! Is it Traceable?

Six weeks old? How sickening. I feel your anguish. By the look of it, even if it is at the bottom of that cliff it will be a total loss. What are the tides like there?

Dropped like a stone from the sky.....

No, it was a minor brush with foliage, nothing more and certainly not a crash, and, a few seconds later, the power disconnected from not just the motors but everything else, such as video and the flight logs. The irrefutable evidence of the witness marks on the shell and the four propellors was...

Dropped like a stone from the sky.....

The update on my experience with P4p shutdown and consequent crash is that DJI have pronounced it 'pilot error' even though the props were not rotating (as evidenced by witness marks) at the point of impact. I have disputed their assessment and asked them to revue the flight logs. Immediately...

Dropped like a stone from the sky.....

Further to my above post, if the craft starts to overheat is there any warning message?

Dropped like a stone from the sky.....

This is sudden shutdown is very interesting as it has also just happened to me! My P4p is only a little more than a week old, bought in the UK from 'SLR Hut' in the US.for my forthcoming trip to Arizona, where I am right now. I am an experienced 'pilot' having a P4 for nearly two years. After...

    Gimbal Sudden Tilt Glitch

Thanks 'Gadget Guy' (do you have a name?) I am going to try reducing the recording resolution as suggested by John Locke. I think that you are absolutely right in suspecting the playback system, so reducing the res should solve problem. But, I will have a word with my son and ask to borrow his...

    Gimbal Sudden Tilt Glitch

Thank you for that, John. I'll switch to UHD at 38409x2160 and try it out. I did back off from 4k but, without checking, I think that I am at 4096 right now. I'll also have a go at 5.8 Ghz AUTO for increase in range.

    Where are you from?

I am in Cheshire, UK, just about 20 miles west of Manchester. But on Thursday Aug 24th I will be in Scottsdale Az for a few weeks. Anyone from there to give me tips on where tp fly? Or not to!

    Gimbal Sudden Tilt Glitch

My new P4p does not exhibit any gimbal twitch as such, at any speed, left or right, but I am finding that the videos are quite often hesitant, as if it is buffering. I am using the SD card supplied with the P4p so I can't think that is the culprit, and the computer I download to is an 18 month...

    Gimbal Sudden Tilt Glitch

Well, I had a crash with my P4, hit the ground from a height of five feet, and it from then on it occasionally demonstrated this gimbal twitch. Eventually had the camera and gimbal changed (expensive) by a third party DJI 'approved' shop but I firmly believe that it was the ribbon cable that...
