Farewell to my P3P, it's been great.

Nice corner of the world you're in there. If I ever look to go up that way I'll send you a PM :) I've had a few weekends with the Mavic now and camera and control wise I think it is at least a match for the P3 Pro. I tend to shoot with flat colour profiles which may help. However as a straight...

Thanks all :) Close. South West (coastline shots) and Central Victoria.

Farewell to my P3P, it's been great.

Have had my P3P for a couple of years and have found it a great platform for helping me hone in my piloting and videography skills. I'm really glad I got to learn on a drone with minimal auto features which kind of forces you to learn how to fly rather than depend on any of the drone smarts...

Video Feed Freezing - Any one else get this?

I used a Samsung SM-T700 with my P3P and it did this time to time. Each time I would do a factory reset on the tablet and it'd be good again. Other thing I did was start using Litchi. Found it to be more stable and feature rich than the DJI software.

Ditched P3P: Can't decide on Mavic or P4P

Hi All, After 2.5 years of flying a P3P virtually incident free I finally managed to park it in some trees over the weekend. Don't think it is 100% fatal, confident however it is going to be 100% expensive. Of the 2 crashes I've ever had, trees not in the camera's field of view have been the...

First crash in 3 years....Replace unit or repair?

Well, I ended up ordering another Phantom 3 Pro while I decide what to do with my current unit. When you factor in the controller, charger and battery the sums just didn't add up going down the drone only route. I plan on selling these off to subsidize the cost of the additional unit, not too...

First crash in 3 years....Replace unit or repair?

Not a bad suggestion when you put it like that. What are DJI's delivery times like these days? When I first purchased my P3 Pro I was advised to steer clear of them.

First crash in 3 years....Replace unit or repair?

Thanks all. I'll open it up over the weekend and see what I can find. Even before this I had been thinking about a second quad. Looked at the P4, however I have invested so much in the P3 platform with extra batteries, lens filters and a hard case backpack I think I might just get another P3...

First crash in 3 years....Replace unit or repair?

About 2 weeks ago I got the Sunday morning off from family duties to go flying my P3 Pro for the first time in several months. Absolute treat until I had some sort of brain fade where on returning home I flew my P3 into a tree rather than away from it. This has never happened to me before in...

2 Month Old P3A: My pain continues...

Thanks all, I've never been so happy for an issue to come back as just being a case of PEBKAC. I have since looked back through my P3A packaging and found the accessories box which does indeed have 4 x rubber dampers and 2 x anti drop pins. Without another P3 to check against I just jumped to...

2 Month Old P3A: My pain continues...

Hi All, Purchased my P3P at the very end of August, and while overall I think it is an awesome platform which I very much enjoy flying, I find myself hampered by the fact I find new things going wrong due to what looks like build quality that are making it unsafe to fly. Until this past...

Today was my time finding the crack

I'm in the same boat, only I'd only had 20 flights (drone is just over 30 days old) with no crashes and I live in Australia. I've got a lot planned for October so wasn't really prepared to cop the delay of having my Drone sent back to China. I purchased a new shell today from a local supplier...

    Cracked shell poll numbers.

Got my P3P late August, 18 flights, no crashes, found two cracks tonight in the rear screw holes closet too the battery compartment. I have had my unit on WOT multiple times, however this was never a sharp change that would generate high stress. Smooth throttle changes as that produces better...

    Cracking the P3 crack

Hi guys, Nothing constructive to add to this thread. Just thought I would add I am the latest victim to the stress fracture issue. Both rear screw holes closest to the battery compartment have been damaged. One has cracked right through, the other looks like a crease line in the plastic. I...

    1.1.9 to 1.4.0010: Constant Disconnections

Thanks for the Litchi suggestion Norm. Had my first flight today using Litchi still on the 1.4.0010 firmware. Didn't miss a beat. Pity HealthyDrones doesn't process Litchi logs. Would be good to get a side by side comparison. Hardly conclusive, but from what I have seen I am leaning toward...
