I think the "trick" mentioned is for people who use a gimbal.
Hard mounted, it's easy to keep the props and legs out of the frame even in wide angle mode.
Some guys over at RCG guess that DJI will be coming out with a Phantom 2 Vision Pro which will have an H3-2D or better gimbal.
Guess we'll just have to wait and see.
As far as I can remember GPS and ATTI works ok.
I only spent a few minutes trying out the Phantom TX-RX on the Naza M Lite. I switched back right away to the FrSky RX once I saw that I cannot assign a function to the 3rd position of the GPS-ATTI-ATTI switch.

But the beeps come from the motors, so it means there's power going into the ESC and motor.
Most probably 1 or more ESCs either failed or not getting any power.
Listen to each motor one by one and check which motor does not beep.

I bought the very expensive boca bearings lightning lube, applied 1-2 drops to each bearing.
