I've got the same problem with my P2V. First time turning the bird on in a while, I flashed the firmware to get it up to date and I lost video from my camera. I get altitude and GPS on my iPhone display, I can control the camera (tilt), I can take photos and videos, and I can transfer freshly...

I've got the same issue, only no crash preceding the failed video. I have control of the camera, can tilt it and take photos and video, I get the live data from the P2V, just don't get the live video.

I just bought a set from B&H Photo. DJI packaged and stamped, so I'm thinking they are DJI products.

Typical neighborhood driveway, but there were cars in the driveway and in the street. I wonder about trying to fly in and among too much metal? Could that interfere with my control? All my previous flights were in much more open locations, like parks, fields, empty parking lots...

Your rocking motion on your video does look similar. Maybe because I was lower it didn't have time to 'recover' like yours did. So far I've only flown in GPS mode.

Nope, at the time I had brought it down at a reasonable speed to its 6-8 foot altitude where it was hovering as I took a 'selfie' of the group. It hovered for a couple more seconds, then lost its little electronic mind. I've seen that behavior where it 'toilet bowls' as it descends rapidly...

Followed up again with DJI, and I just got notified that my second battery should arrive via UPS on 3/31. DJI customer service comes through big time!

Agreed. Sounds like this is something they want done for fun (and for free), which always has the potential for ending bad. I'd make sure the organizer has insurance before flying over a crowd. Landing in the water is one thing, but losing a prop or motor over a crowd is, well, no gouda.

Another thing to look at: is the controller antenna (not the wi-fi extender) pointing at your P2V? The signal coming off of that antenna radiates in a cone, and should be pointing straight up to the sky rather than at your quad. The wi-fi extender on the other hand needs to be pointing...
