Hi, I have a Phantom 2 Vision+ that's no longer working. I'm just wondering if there's a way to separate the camera and gimbal, mount it on something and use it hand-held, like an Osmo. Has anyone done this? Is there a way of doing it. Would it need the 'range extender' to work?

That's pretty much the same as the P2V+

It does look a little confusing though. Two types of Vision.. one that can take stills and one that can take video. It doesn't look like both versions can take both video and stills. I might consider buying the camera and gimbal for my P2V+, if it can do both, and if it can retrofit.

Considering it's just been released, a stealthy promo can be forgiven. ;)

sounds like something is preventing your gimbal motor from turning.. we could be talking thousandths of an inch here.. if it moves freely by hand, then it could be a bad motor or ribbon contact, or the D-slot might not be keyed to the shaft

Correct, and that's in the manual. Press and hold for 5 seconds and it will indicate battery life.

Shadow, if you can't get it repaired, then you'll need to disassemble it, put the bent part against something solid and flat, place a piece of wood between it and a small hammer (so you don't dent it with the hammer) then softly tap it flat again.

I'll check, and I can't recall seeing a red flash. I'll have to watch for that. The batteries were new in Dec (along with the Phantom) and have had maybe 8 hours (25 flights) each.

Since updating the app, I get that message all the time. I could be on 50% and suddenly I get, "Note enough battery power to return home." I also now get the horn going off sometimes when I make it climb hard, as if doing so is some sort of warning against draining the battery too fast.

Sorry to hear, Dirk... My wife calls my Phantom, my pet. I guess it's a lot like that. And when you lose a pet, it's definitely a loss.
