I've been using an iPad Mini 3, and have had serious glare problems. The PadHat helped, but still left a lot to be desired. I installed the DayVue screen protector from NuShield (www.NuShield.com) and am seeing a huge improvement in screen viewability.

I forgot to remove my gimbal lock once, and got the same message. No problems after 15 flights. I have attached a "Remove Before Flight" tag to the gimbal lock to make sure I don't make that mistake again.

Try deleting the App and reinstalling it. After I did that, the App finally showed the correct software version for the aircraft.
