Is that lock by design? I have one controller that does it and another one that doesnt. I figured that it sticks because it was not installed properly or the plastic itself was not manufactured properly.

I prefer the S2 method. To me, turning off the RC is asking for a connection failure when you turn it back on. I've, thankfully, only ever needed RTH one time though... every other time I've ever done it I was just trying it out.
