Great info - Litchi seems to be a pretty powerful tool, may not use Pix4D capture again if Litchi can do all this and more. Also seems to have the Go4 app beaten.
Looks like i have a bit of homework and skills flying in front of me.
Thanks
Thanks mate, this is great advice.
I will download and get used to the programme.
Is there anything i need to be aware of that could be a trap for new players.
I have looked into the info on line, I dont quite understand the relation to 2 altitude numbers on the waypoints. is the first set of...
G'day from NSW Australia.
I have been asked to conduct monthly flights over a new development of approx 20ha (50ac) for 24 months.
The client is asking for a video to track changes over time.
I have used Pix4D in the past to map and produce orthos etc using stitched still images to good result...
Hi Bert - I might be able to help for jobs you may need in NSW. I travel the state extensively (when not locked down!) so could schedule a job in my travels. - I dont go into Vic that often though.
Thanks mate, I will let it cool down. I will also look to get another battery or 2 anyway - by the way, do you have any massive concerns with non DJI batteries?
Yours is a good idea - i will run 6 gauge wire from the battery through the firewall into the back seat and have an Anderson type plug to connect/disconnect to the inverter.
Should be simple and clean.
Thanks mate, that's great - I have alligator clips and extra wire and I will make an extension to the inverter. I feel better having a crack at this now.. This is a good forum getting others experiences and advice. Thanks again.
Thanks everyone for your reply - It is much appreciated.
I failed to mention that I already have a (non pure sinewave) 12v / 500w inverter but have never married it to the DJI P4P 240v charger before and was wanting to know that I wouldn't destroy either the DJI charger or the inverter or...
Thanks recoveryone,
My query was not around the maths of the job but the fact I was wanting to understand the groups accumulated knowledge of charging batteries by way of 12v inverters. As I stated I will be nowhere an electrical outlet to charge as normal, hence the reason for asking the...
G'day all, I hope this question hasn't been done to death!
I have been asked to run a mapping process over a mine site quarry that is approx. 20ha or 50acres.
I will be using my Phantom P4P v2 and running the Pix4D mapping app to capture the job.
I have 2 batteries and am pretty sure I can get...
Thanks everyone for your input, I am pleased it is not an immediate problem. I will continue to keep an eye o the cracks and hope they don't develop too much more.
I have a P4Pv2 and Mavic Air. Love them both. I probably fly the Phantom more nowdays due to commercial work and the fact the perception of a larger drone is a more professional look.
The Mavic Air is a great backup but its portability is the winner in the recreational flying space.
I would...
I purchased a P4P v2 about 12 months ago (used but with only 12 hours flight time) Previous to this i had done my apprenticeship on a Mavic Air which i still regularly fly.
When i bought the P4, i knew it had a slight crack above (what i will call) the number 1 LED light.
The P4 came with 2...
I am a member of the Mavic Pilots group as well and have been flying both my Mavic Air and Phantom P4Pv2 for a good while.
I live on the South Coast of NSW about 4hrs south of Sydney but travel most of the state of NSW.
I am operating a business looking into Real Estate, Roof inspection...
