That's cool but I was told if you power the gimbal without gopro attached you might burn out gimball motors. I'm reluctant to leave gimball and take off cam for non-filming flying. I guess I could just detach cable from gimbal but then gimball will flop around in-flight, no? Stupid that those...
I'll give it a try, thanks. BTW the instructions say the gimbal mounts with only two of those plastic clips holding the damping balls, does that mean the other two aren't firmly secured to the plate? They give you four with the H3-3D, are those spares? And how do you unclip the plastic clips...
Sometimes I want to fly my Phantom 2 without the camera and gimbal but it's a pain to take the cam off, then unscrew the gimbal in the field. is there a quick way to get the rig on/off so I can fly with/without camera?
