Interested to hear some opinions as well... I have been using GS Pro quite a bit and I really like it's price. That is, you have and use an iOS device for control. Litchi seems to offer more features in the android app, but I haven't tried it.

Have you tried using an iOS device? I am an Android guy that swore to not use iOS despite using a mac. I tried with Android and now have an iPad... so smooth. Excuse my ignorance, but can you not get a nofly clearance? I am admittedly naive on this, but could the authority having jurisdiction...

Yes, I have read through this thread, but I am still wanting a bit more on the "theory" side I guess. That is, why some mods want us to mangle/drill holes in the transmitter vs. some that use the existing antenna plugs... for example. I am late to the game so it is hard to know where to start in...
