Sorry should have clarified clear night. I am able to see them to about 17k feel on strobe. The white is able to be seen that far without strobe.
What brand are the strobes you refer to? Could you please link them? Thanks
I bought the Polar Pro lights
Amazon.com : PolarPro DJI Phantom 4 LED Light Bars (Headlights and Taillights) : Camera & Photo
Easily still visible from 3 miles away when flashing and a perfectly clear day.
And with one red and one white it's easy to tell orientation of the drone.
Does the night restrictions requiring a waiver apply to only commercial/business use or does it also apply to civilian (unlicensed but registered) use as well?
My friend had his drone crash due to the battery falling out, ever since then I just put a small Velcro strap over the battery to the body to be safe. Cost me 1$ at the dollar store.
It can indeed lose stability in Sport mode.
Just this last weekend I was flying in winds around 10mph with some good gusts.
I was doing loops around a large park and turned too sharply at full speed and nearly flipped over, the drone turned almost sideways.

I was under the impression that you could modify the remote the same way but since the bird does not use wifi like the p3, that you could not hack into its operating system to make it properly use the 32nd channel.
There appears to be a large amount of people selling "3G" trackimo's on both eBay and Amazon which are in fact "2G" models.
I spoke with Trackimo and was given the details on how to find if a model is in fact 3G.
The model numbers on 2G/3G are unfortunately the same. The way to tell is with...
The fact that your battery was missing upon recovery hints to me that the battery could have not been inserted securely and came loose mid flight causing the crash? I have read about this happening in the P3 threads.
A friend lost a P3S that hit a bird in mid air and it fell from 300-400 feet...
I have been searching trying to find cases which accommodate the ITElite control mod without luck. I currently have the Microraptor Pro but the antenna is about 2 inches too tall to close the case.
Are there any known hard cases for just the remote on its own which can accommodate the remote...
