VPS is not controlled by gps it is controlled by the sensors underneath the quad! It recognizes patterns in the floor, if there are no distinguishing patterns it will not be stable and will drift.

Looks like bad ribbon cable!! If you bought a cheapo from eBay and not an original, which are 3 times the price of the cheap knock offs then there is a good chance it is the cable due to crap materials and lack of quality manufacturing.

Just in case you mean SD card instead of SIM card try re-seating the two cables that run to the gimbal as they often come loose in a crash and either need re-seating or replacing.

They will probably re shell your phantom unless you are really unlucky and they send you somebody else's refurbished one. My one and only contact with DJI Netherlands was not good so when I discovered cracks on my phantom p3p I re shelled it myself £45 and 2 hours later.

Try a piece of tin foil on top of the bird which will make the gps unavailable! But you will have to fly Atti mode.

Are all the batteries original DJI ones or are some copies? The reason I ask is I have shopped everywhere and could only find the cheapest £70 ($87) if you have purchased copies please be careful as there are well known complications associated with them!! Try sending your bird straight out in front of you 100mtrs.Then go up 300 ft and see what happens, you will always get optimum signal when the bird is 20meters plus away from you and 5+ elevated.
