Phantom batteries (at least for Phantom 1) are not special in any way, very basic actually. I have been using my Turnigy Nanotech from my planes in Phantom and they lasted longer and gave better results. Never used the DJI charger as I'm just using my Pro-Peak Prodigy II with external balancer...

I think you've already got the answer. Your old TX will only support the older RX (1 antenna) I could really use the dual antenna RX in mine (version 1.2.1 - same as yours) and swat the stock TX for my Futaba 7C radio....is it just plug and play if you swap the RX? Will you just plug your RX...

thanks a lot for the picture. I have opened mine Phantom. It is v 1.2.1 It has the latest Naza M-V2 but I can't see the PMU V2...did you have to buy this separately? Cheers, Mike

I'd like to switch to Futaba 7C with the 7ch R617FS receiver. Has anybody done the same (or at least same rx) thing? A step-by-step instructions would be greatly appreciated.
