It can't hurt to remove the apps, and reinstall them. I personally do that as a standard option. Seeing as you had a flyaway, I wouldn't fly without reinstalling your apps. I know it may be unnecessary, but I have a separate tablet I use for flying, and I have a minimal amount of apps loaded on it.

It's not that hard to take it apart and spray it any color you like, and it would literally cost you 5 to 10 dollars in paint. Plus if you ever crash it or mess it up, you will have to redo the process, and if you do it yourself it will be a simple procedure.
