I thought that all you had to do was just remove two cable wires from the main receiver an connect only one set to a 2.4 system with the single plug on the bottom. The other end goes to X2 on the NASA, cant think of what its called now, but there is a video of it let me see if i can find it...

I found that the prop gaurds seem to do more harm that good, prop wash is also something that the phantom likes to do. just have to slow your decent and make sure that you have a forward or directional movement when landing, think of it as a plane somewhat coming into land. you keep the air...

This kinda happened to me, and I just adjusted the pitch motor arm attached to the roll motor with an Allen wrench . Unloosen, and turn it down a bit. Tightened it back up. I found you could do this when I was trying to balance the gimbal

Did you make sure that GPS was enabled on your phone? DId you check that the Right swtich was all the way up? Did the App and the phantom say that it had GPS lock? 6 or more Sats?

Well after getting home and getting the phantom out, I can confirm that the connection to the camera directly and with a VPN connection over a 4G data connection did work. Now the lag was a little slow and i think this do to the process of it trying to send all that info over a data connection...

well maybe i worded it wrong but you wouldnt have control as in flying it like you would with the controller.. but setting new waypoints and return to home control you would.Controll the camera and such. I personally dont have a use for this or waypoints but its something for me to play around...

Ok so this was brought up in another thread and was suggested that I make a new one for this topic. This may sound a little far fetched and a little unreasonable and your going to say it will add extra weight and reduce flight times and so on. but i still wanted to share my findings so far...

Re: does the vision camera HAVE TO be used with the extender Technically yes, and yes the range will be limited. to put it simple, your camera connects to your extender, but its signal is not visible to a wifi scan. so you have to find the ssid of the camera by looking it up in the extender...

Yes you can connect to the camera you just have to find the camera's ssid which can be found in the extenders menu.. you basically set up a new wifi connection(on the Iphone just select "other") enter the SSID (or Network Name) of the camera (FC200_xxxx) with no security set to "none" and viola...

Yeah there would be alot to work out, and of course flight times would be shorten but this would be for someone without a gimbal and extra hardware. i mean a phantom can only go so far on a single charge anyways, but just think you wouldnt have to worry about lost connections and if it did go...
