Sort of an analogy, but I bought a Ford F-250 with the 6.0L diesel engine which was supposed to have a 20% efficiency increase over its predecessor and lead the pack among the "big 3" US auto makers in torque, HP, and mileage. When I first got it, I got 22 mpg fairly consistently and power was...
I would avoid any active antennae. If for no other reason than the inductive current could fry the sensitive solid state electronics in a device that is not, and can not be, EMP protected, since it has to have the control signal from an outside source. Frequency is moot.
The P5 will be a drone simulator with Google street view built in because recreational flying of any drone anywhere will be illegal.
I'm enjoying my P4 so I'm content for now. I'm going to scour any firmware update for any new ridiculous limitations and avoid as necessary.
Idiots will ruin...
I upgraded T/X system and can generally maintain signal longer than I feel comfortable with in terms of battery remaining. I haven't done any battery mods, so when I'm at about 60% I want to come home. My range runs are typically 3 miles.
I don't fly my drone across state lines and even if I did, it wouldn't be for commercial purposes. Therefore, I am not subject to the "commerce" clause. I fly my drone safely, so I'm also not subject to the "general welfare" clause. The more we subject ourselves to this crap, the more we will...
Requiring knowledge of TAFs and ERFs for a vehicle that is operated in LOS is ridiculous. That may not bear any relevance to your business because you only train people to comply with the laws, but the laws are ridiculous. If you operate a CIA drone that crosses national borders and weighs...
The holes are what counts. In that case, they were 0.50" holes (50 BMG rounds) and the big splotches are because they are armor piercing incendiary rounds. That particular shoot was not a precision shoot. When I use the 338 Lapua Magnum, I keep all of them inside the orange circle (from 620...
Bought the drone to check long range shooting targets and ended up getting sidelined for a long time doing other stuff that was an absolute blast (using drones). Finally got around to using it for what I had originally designed. Also uploaded a youtube vid for the first time ever...
I enjoyed it. Brings back memories of when we lived in SD. LJ was a favorite outing to restaurants or just hang out at the cove and watch the sea lions. Is Black's Beach still what it used to be??
It's called "autorotation". In a steep descent, the air traveling through the rotor system keeps the blades spinning. They actually glide a bit, kind of like a Frisbee, so the descent isn't that bad. Once near the ground, flaring the helicopter to slow forward and downward speed actually...
I had it with my new one purchased a little over a month ago and a recent firmware update took care of it entirely. Only thing is now when in a descent from straight above it really wants to dive after attempting to level out. It's not VRS. Something in the firmware.
