Awesome, will join up and hopefully get to meetup with you guys. Building a little mini h quad at the moment but would be nice to have some other people to fly with.
Very cool video, looks like the skatepark right around the corner from me.
I doubt it was his "livelihood" and has his main career/income and if not then he is doing it wrong imo. From a common sense view it just does not make sense in the current state of things.
That's just my opinion, I am in no way "bashing" on him I just think anybody getting into this and having...
In my honest opinion if you want to take it seriously I would recommend a different platform. But that depends on how serious you are and what you want to do with it. Keep in mind everybody and their grandmother is doing AP now so a lot of competition. I would honestly learn to build them and...
There are better options for that kind of money to be honest. And to be frank I would buy a regular P1/P2 to practice before adding all the other equipment even tho you won't. Or the vert least buy a hubsan x4 along with the kit for practice while you read over the manual.

Really? You say this on a phantom forum of all places? Wow  I don't know if that is straight denial or just ignorance.
It's electronic and it flies so anything can happen.
I'd still classify those as "toy" grade IMHO but they still serve a purpose which is great. I think as the technology and hobby advances they will indeed get cheaper but I don't think it will get that low for a long long long long time. Esp one that's comparable to a 3k+ today.
Everybody and...
Yup, I'm considering picking an iris or x8 to experiment with or a custom build with the pixhawk. The features are just amazing and I love that it is open source. But I'm also considering a discovery pro or build a mini fpv multi for sport flying.
Can't make up my mind, I've been neglecting...
