    3D photography with Phantom 3

That makes sense, but I've tried that. The problem is the drift - it's so significant that the perspective is substantially altered enough where the image still gets wonky. The crop ends up being a very tiny area of the image, so the intended composition is completely lost, lol. I'll keep...

    3D photography with Phantom 3

Bumping this thread because I'm an avid stereoscope fan and photographer. I've been testing the creation of stereoscopic stills on my P3A using the cha-cha method, and it's actually pretty difficult. You really have to have zero wind so that when you roll there's no pitch or height changes...

How to change from one tablet to another ?

How is the sync actually done? Can't find anything in the manual this. I'm changing from an iPad Mini to the new 9.7" Pro and was curious. Tnx

Phantom3 Crash (ground station) lost altitude

I'm curious as to why you didn't take manual control when you saw the P3 starting to descend? Were you not able to do that or didn't think about it?

    iPad Mini 4 with Wi-Fi + HotSpot

I have a wifi only mini and it's a pain in the butt. Switched over to my iPhone 6s until the new smaller iPad Pro is released. My advice is to plunk down a bit of extra cash and get the cellular version with the GPS radio. A few things to remember: a. You don't need to activate the cellular...

    Pricing for Vertical Studio

A bit surprised at the price, frankly. The very excellent AutoPilot is $30. This is a different app to be sure, but still.....$50 for a semi pro version? Pass.

Are many of you guys planning on sticking by the Phantom 3 Pro after 4 is released?

I plan on enjoying my new P3A for many months to come before I consider any other Phantom purchase. :)

    DISABLE "Smart go home."

This is what I'm wondering about from her initial post where she says to 'disable'. She's talking about disabling the RTH function, correct? If so, I call into question exactly why? Seems like it's an incredibly valuable feature that, as long as the pilot is fully aware of their situation...

    DISABLE "Smart go home."

Again, maybe I'm just thick but in the latest P3A manual I'm not seeing anything about Smart Go Home. I see a Smart RTH - which on page 12 of the manual specifically says that pressing the RTH button will initiate the Smart RTH. Nowhere in the manual is there a reference I can find about Smart...

    DISABLE "Smart go home."

I completely am not following what Smart RTH has to do with this problem, LOL. ???

    Fly zones

The Phantom will act like it's hitting a deflector shield when entering a No Fly Zone. There's good videos on this at YouTube. The only way the Phantom would ever land in a No Fly Zone is if you've lost GPS signal, enter into the center ring of the No Fly Zone, and suddenly it regains a...

Tablets and phones that work well with DJI GO

Ah, gotcha. Sorry. LOL. I'm afraid I've not tested that when I jailbroke. Looks like you've found a link though that walks you through it, haha.

Tablets and phones that work well with DJI GO

I see the recommendation to use Airplane Mode quite a bit on this forum and that's really not the best way to go. Apple's iOS updates are notorious for letting the GPS radio still work in one release version during Airplane Mode, then completely changing that to not working in the next release...

Tablets and phones that work well with DJI GO

YouTube is a good place to start with Jailbreaking. There's tons of videos. The process is a tad bit cumbersome. I did it before but never again. Ultimately it's a pain, as updating the iOS gets to be a problem - often you can do an iOS update but then the new jailbreak version lags behind...

Tablets and phones that work well with DJI GO

Yes, that's exactly right. But, like I said, it's accurate but not like a cellular ipad...
