It sounds like you have a faulty P3Standard. That's the only way to update the copter. Have you already returned your copter? if you want to, you can purchase one at our store and I can have it completely updated for you when I ship it. www.coptersource.com

Have you checked your photo albums? the App makes it's own album called DJI Go
