Apparently DJI material is weak, to begin with. I sent my Phantom 4 in for a software issue and got a reply back that a landing gear and the gimbal had a crack in them. Needless to say, I was shocked because the unit had never landed on anything but grass and never a hard landing. So the unit...
My P4 would not update firmware and was not safe to fly. Shipped it back to DJI to have them diagnose and repair/update software. There were no other issues with the P4. I received a message from them that stated the unit had a cracked landing gear (What?) and damage to the gimbal. I was a bit...
Yeah, just got mine back from DJI yesterday after $169. Gonna test it today after I get all my batteries and remote charged up. They never did explain why I could not connect to a pc, but replaced both landing gear and the camera gimbal board. That damage would be consistent with a hard landing...
Well, they never addressed that issue, not yet anyway. What I got from them is that they have to replace the Right and Left Landing gear module, middle frame, and camera power board. I guess I will see when they return the unit. Repair cost is $168.00, not too bad I guess.
After multiple attempts to remedy the issue, I just gave up and sent the unit to DJI for repair. Was amazed at what they found. I purchase this unit from QVC, the only one I could find, under the assumption that it was brand new. Well, after receiving the pictures from DJI from their initial...
Thanks for your reply. I tried the device and several other recommended avenues that were suggested with no positive results. Finally gave up and sent the unit to DJI.
I kind of think it may be something going on with DJI. My Phantom 4 set for 3 or 4 months and when I tried to fly I got a firmware update notice. Attempted the update but no pc, windows or Mac would recognize the device. Also had a "calibrate vision sensors" notice and that would not work as...
Bypass the headaches and send it in for service. My Phantom 4 had a similar issue. I hadn't used it in about 3 or 4 months and when I started to use it I got the update firmware notice, also the vision sensors needed to be calibrated, which neither one would do. Windows 10 would not recognize...
Hadn't flew my Phantom 4 for a few months, have a vision sensor calibration warning. Tried to connect to 2 different computers with no luck, both say the unit malfunctioned and not recognized by the USB port. It will connect to the controller just fine, will activate propellers but I cannot...
