Haha kites are harder due to their long lines and if there are many of them you have a much higher chance of one of them hitting your drone. I was using the p3p.
Hey,
Made this video yesterday on the Gold Coast of my friends windsurfing.
Wind was around 15-20 knots on average with gusts up to 25 knots.
The phantom handled very well, nice and stable in the high wind, as can be seen in the video.
When the wind was at its highest, maximum upwind speed was...
Nope never figured out what it was.
I formatted the card through the phantom, and now make sure to press stop recording each time I power off. Hadn't had the problem since.
Aye this has only been happening after the recent firmware update, so I will format the memory card through the P3P and see if it happens again. I usually just delete the files off the memory card after copying them over.
I was using VLC to view the files. I tried Windows Media Player but it...
Hi there,
I've had my P3P for quite a few months now and have about 50 flights on it. Encountered an odd problem the other day that I've never had before.
While viewing my 4k recording on the computer, there is about 1sec of normal footage, then the video image freezes and stays like this for...
Dont do an IMU calibration at the field. Do one at home on a very level surface and don't do another IMU calibration until you crash again. Only calibrate the compass when you move a fair distance from home.
The first compass calibration should be in a clear area with no metal around. A big...
I try to fly when I can, but its hard with leaving for work before sunrise and arriving home after sunset. I usually fly on both days on the weekend, first thing in the morning and try to record the sun rising.
I always record while flying and keep all the footage. Hard drives aren't expensive...
Yep I've had a magpie dive bomb my phantom at the local park on my first flight. I saw something white fly towards the phantom from the magpie and then later found some bird poop on the quad.
Also more recently had about 5 of them start circling above my quad so I brought it down straight away...
The battery voltages will be lower while the craft is flying as the batteries are under a load. They should be higher once you land as there is no more load on them.
There will be a slight variation in the voltages between the 4 cells, but dont be concerned with any variation under 0.10 volts...
I've got cached video which I used to make a quick director video. It was all buttery smooth, albeit not the best quality. (I'd say it is just below true 720p, and not quite as sharp). Looks quite good on the Ipad screen though. I used an Ipad mini 2, and the bird was only a maximum of 200m away...
I swear I remember reading here that both telemetery and video are sent on the same wireless frequency levels via the lightbridge.... Someone with more knowledge will have to chime in.
16.36V is not a dramatically low voltage. The nominal (50%) voltage for a 4 cell lipo would be 3.7x4 which is 14.8V.
At 16.36, each cell should still have 4.09V which is still acceptable.
Your log doesn't show a sudden drop either, but an increase from 16.21 to 16.36...
I've found this guide to be pretty useful. It's for phantom II batteries but nothing much has changed.
They say that if the battery is drained completely each time it would last about 50 cycles, whereas if its taken care of it should last about 150...
Hi IflyinWY thanks for the welcome.
I just did the IMU calibration to fix it. I did all the other stuff earlier. Made sure to follow a good YouTube video that's in one of the threads around here. Put it in the fridge too as its winter over here.
For some reason u don't have a signature, but...
