I tested Giusseppe's antenna booster today and was very pleased with the results. Previously I had been able to fly about 4,200m away before getting low signal warning and occasional signal drop outs.
With the booster I flew 5,500m away, where I turned around at 60% battery and with full bars...
Yeah, there's a column in the csv which shows each flight mode in a single number. In Dashware there's a gauge component which allows you to choose an image file for each digit. So you have to make an image file for each flight mode, and map them to corresponding numbers in the csv file.
I had...
Not sure which gauge you mean but you can simply select the gauge and then click the clone button. Open the cloned gauge and delete the stuff you don't want and save.
Sure sounds like a long time. It depends on your CPU. For me it takes about 20 mins to render a full flight video with an Intel...
Saw the video with stick position and pitch/roll gauges and thought it looks cool so I made my own. Also edited the existing compass gauge to show the Phantom spinning.
Seems kinda silly for DJI to outsource these smart features to 3rd party developers when they have a nice and feature packed app of their own. This requires the 3rd party developers to make their app match the features and looks of DJI's app or otherwise there is a need to use two or more apps...
I tested today how the directionality of the antenna affects flying in closer ranges. I flew forwards with the Phantom while pointing the antenna 90 degrees to the side and lost FPV at 650m or 2,130ft. So yea, shouldn't be an issue.
RTH kicked in a couple of times at around 8,200 ft but I kept trying and was really surprised to hit the 3 km mark and still see it going. Eventually I lost the 2.4 GHz connection and decided to stop there and bring it back.
The video is currently rendering in YouTube.
So I took to the skies with the antenna and FPV Booster.... and I got to 3,470 m (11,382 ft)!! Ultimate Flight logged the flight so I can post the video with telemetry.
