I agree with AvatarTV and Russ42Phantom, fly responsibly. First, it's a National Park. Second, the traffic there is not conducive to safe flying. This does give UAS pilots a bad rap. I got my UAS the hard way with my Pilot's License and the Section 333 exemption. Don't make us look bad.
So, I have one of the first issue Maverio BT300's with the Rochester lenses and the Mavic clips included as a promo. I have been busy on another project and just took them out of the box last night. I am near sighted and I can't deal with the fuzziness of the screen and I can't wear corrective...
The problem was I wasn't doing the sequence correctly. Push the power button once quickly then immediately press it again and hold for a few seconds and the unit will power up. Same process for powering down.
Yes, I understand. The first time I press the battery, all 4 lights light up to tell me power is 100%. Pressing and holding it again for 2 seconds does not go through the blinking sequence on the battery and then powering up the Phantom. I just get the 4 solid lights again for power status...
Done that. No response at all. I have reset the battery holding it 5 seconds to make sure it was off and then held for 2 seconds to power on. I have swapped batteries, again no response.
Brand new Phantom 2 with H3-2D Zen Muse. I purchased 2 batteries and charged them both fully. When I insert either battery, it will show the power status and nothing else happens. No lights, no response at all. If I plug it into my computer to update the firmware, the software tells me to...
Thanks! I spent a long time on line trying to find specifications for the gimbal and just couldn't find anything that showed the range of movement. Watched so many videos I got sea sick with the motion. I guess most are going for the dramatic cinematography with the sweeps and flying low...
Thanks for confirming many of my questions.
I would want to mount the monitor on a tripod if I have others there that need to frame a view for pictures for the topos. It wouldn't happen much, but if they are in the field, I would prefer they not be crowding over my shoulder to line up a shot...
Here is the configuration I am considering:
Phantom 2 with Zenmuse H3-2D Gimbal
GoPro Hero 3+ Black Edition
FPV using Boscam 5.8Ghz transmitter w/7" monitor mounted to remote or tripod
iOSD Mini for flight data
Garmin GTU 10 GPS Tracker
I think it is a pretty standard setup, but if anyone has...
Excellent! Thanks for the video and pics! What program do you use to reduce the fish eye and what settings do you find work best to reduce it?
Thanks so much!!
Good news! It's amazing how little has been posted about the actual use and function of the gimbal. Just how to install and calibrate it. I have Photoshop and GIMP to remove the skewing. Adobe now has the Hero 3+ in it's camera database, so getting the pin cushion out should be much easier...
I know this is a silly question. I am just getting into quad copters and can't find out anything about the maximum rotation of the H3-D2 gimbal. Can it point straight down to take a picture? I assume the only way to do it with the GoPro 3+ is to set the camera to take pictures at a set...
