I'm surprised nobody mentioned to check the motor temperature after a few minutes of idle (or flight since you're already flying it again). If your coils are dark and it smoked, you've lost some insulation on that motor and my guess is that it's getting pretty hot under load. If it gets too hot...

I use an inexpensive black plastic hot water heater pan easily obtainable at any hardware store. Flip it over and it works quite nicely. The aluminum one would work too, lighter and more rigid.

They are the Ditzco brand films and I stacked the ND2 and ND8 since it was really bright initially. In hindsight I should have stuck with just the ND8 because I agree it was about a stop to dark for my liking even though EV reported in the app was right at 0 to +.3 for most of the flight. Sent...

Still getting dumped on here, 32"+ and counting. Really want to take an aerial video of the neighborhood once it's over tomorrow morning, perhaps even live stream it. Side note, i'd be nervous flying around all those overhead lines :eek:

Only takes one-hand to throttle down (on the P3 at least), left stick full down position for a couple seconds. No need to CSC to shut down the props. I mostly hand catch, face the bird away, hover around 6 ft, grab with the right hand and cut with the left. Controller on a strap so that helps.
