I agree with Phil's assessment. Even though you aren't receiving any compensation, it is still a commercial operation because of how the realtor will use it.
Thanks for the advice about the banner ads. I will definitely cut those down. I'm not sure what this guy used for his website, but I have done my website through Wordpress. It is very easy to use, and seems to be very functional, especially if you splurge for some of the upgrades. I would highly...
This was kind of my assumption. I figured it would be a very small percentage that would take the time to get the certification, learn to fly, and learn to edit video.
Here's my channel. This is awesome! Most of the traffic I'm getting from my website is coming from this forum. Everybody is doing fantastic things with their drones. Keep it up!

I haven't been able to find a good Part 107 preflight checklist that I liked, so I decided to put one together. I think it has the basic information you would need to prove to the FAA that you were operating within Part 107 regulations. If you think there is other information that would be...
Has anybody used the Sentera NDVI upgrade for the Phantom series? I have a Phantom 3 Pro, and am very interested in breaking into this market. It seems like a reasonable price for the upgrade, as you get to keep your stock imagery functionality. Definitely seems cheaper than getting a dedicated...
Merry Christmas to you also Phil! I've really enjoyed doing the research for my site. I'm also going to start adding tutorial videos. I hope people are finding something of value on the site.

Here's the latest post! This provides some basic advice to realtors who are thinking of doing it themselves.
Should I Create Aerial Drone Videos Myself or Hire a Drone Service Provider? | Real Estate Drone Photography
Yes, if you are operating commercially, you need the Part 107 remote pilot certificate, or a Section 333 exemption. The drone itself needs to be registered with the FAA for commercial purposes also.
Bryan, great work. I love the Beethoven as the background music. You did a great job making smooth turns while circling the property. What editing software did you use? I have been using iMovie for mine. It's pretty good for free software. I'm not ready to take the plunge into the high-end...
Hey guys! I put a new post on the site discussing how to stay out of trouble with the Part 107 regulations when shooting real estate drone photos and videos. Let me know what you think!
