    Man charged

I don't necessarily feel sorry for him as such and the judge was probably right to brand him as 'stupid' in as much at least that it was a bad idea to be seen with a transmitter anywhere near an airport after all the recent alleged drone sightings and mass hysteria due to news reports. My issue...

    Man charged

I think it's relevant when it comes to creating and maintaining public hysteria over drones / quadcopters. The model plane is technically a UAV (unmanned aerial vehicle) but it isn't a drone so why report it as either? It should have been reported for what it was, a man has been arrested for...

    Man charged

So it was actually a model plane, yet every single news report referred to it as a drone  Link

    Man charged

"Nobody has yet been charged with either the Gatwick incident last month or the Heathrow incident earlier this month, Rusu is not connected with either incident."

Wireless charging hotspots lets drones fly forever through in-air recharges

I don't doubt the technology, wireless charging is nothing new. I'm just a little confused as to why the drone maintains a hover while charging, surely it would be much more efficient to land while it charges rather than continuously using battery power?

Gatwick airport closed due drone reported in area

So.... worldwide media coverage, front page of every UK newspaper, masses and masses of mainstream media (not to mention all the freelance photographers / journalists) with seriously high spec' cameras pointing up at the sky all waiting for the big money shot of this UAV?..... and how many...

    So I crashed...Now What??

Best advice I can give is to accept your mistakes and to try not to blame it on anyone else.... least of all your innocent daughter ;) You may feel 'unlucky' in that your P3P landed on hard and rocky ground but that is generally what the earth consists of.... you probably wouldn't have faired...

    Need a new tablet

Received an Nvidia Shield yesterday and after 2 flights with it today (with P3A and Inspire 1) I can't recommend it enough! Since first getting my P3A I'd been using a Nexus 7 Gen 2. I've no other use for a tablet so it was purely used for flying, all unnecessary apps removed / disabled and...

    Phantom 3 advanced footage

As mentioned above, if it's stills / photographs you're looking to improve then ND filters aren't much help, their use really is to lower shutter speed for cinematic video. For stills you want to maximise the available light to lower ISO. This is not specific to drone / quadcopter photography...

    Short snow scene

I got a short flight in after a recent dusting in Lancashire UK, nothing dramatic or spectacular but does make the landscape look great

POLL - Who's Got Cracking on their P3 and Who Has Not?

Yes I agree with you... the plastic is flimsy and brittle... but it shouldn't be. I agree with you... those arms will take some stress from those powerful motors... and so they should be designed / produced to cope with it. With regards to it being a quick fix to reinforce them... well I really...

POLL - Who's Got Cracking on their P3 and Who Has Not?

I don't get why hand catching would stress out 1 leg? The quad should easily cope with being carried / handled by human hands. They certainly are easy to land.... if you have a flat area with no obstructions / long grass etc... which is rarely the case for me.

POLL - Who's Got Cracking on their P3 and Who Has Not?

Well.... I've finally become part of the statistic myself :-( Being aware of the cracking issue from being on this forum I always check for stress cracks when cleaning my P3A..... and when doing so a couple of days ago I found a hairline crack on each of the right arm motor mounts. Really...

    Focus issue?

I don't think you have a focus issue, the images are about as sharp as I'd expect. The images do look a little flat but that is easily fixed in post process (much better if you use RAW rather than JPG). I've done a very quick adjustment of levels to a couple of your images.
