I work in the construction field and have 300 + hours flying P4P’s and Mavic 2 Pro’s. I generally launch from the roof of my car that has a glass roof but still a lot of metal. The P4P is more sensitive to magnetic interference. They have gone rogue a couple of times when going airborne. The...
I agree with Andy. Whenever I land this way I make sure to grab the leg at the 90 degree point, never on the flat side. When de energized the drone will rotate and come down on your wrist otherwise.
I started using these a couple of months ago on my P4P and M2P. I notice a big difference on the M2P with noise and flight smoothness. Not so much on the P4P. I ordered two more sets for the M2P since I’ve begun to use it more for quick jobs.
I have 2 p4p’s and both of them have done erratic flying on their own just after take off a few times. All times resulted in crashes, only one needing repair. When it happened a 2nd. time that’s when I got the other p4p. It’s done the same thing once. Frustrating as hell when it starts...
I have a Mavic Pro, Mavic 2 Pro, and two Phantom 4 Pro's. I haven't flown the Mavic for nearly 6 months now. I have two P4p's because I found an excellent deal on a nearly new one. I'm a big fan of the camera on the P4P and I'm afraid they are going to take these drones off the market. Nice to...
I have a set of the range extenders. I never use them though. I have a fear of getting beyond VLOS. If something goes wrong, I don't want to jeopardize my license.
Agreed. I am about to take the exam again after 2 years. I’m a bit of a drone Nazi when I see people doing work with no knowledge of what they are doing, even not having a registered drone. While I don’t think every two years is reasonable I do however feel the test should be hard, otherwise the...
A client asked me to provide them with 8 20x30 inch photos to display in floating acrylic frames. I was a little concerned that images would lose some clarity but was pleasantly surprised with the results. You can have them printed at Sams Club for around $10 to $20 depending on the quality you...
Of all my drones, P4P is the most fickle. It has taken off horizontally when hovering and crashed into a tree. It flipped over during take off due to gust of wind. Kinda like an unpredictable puppy. I have gotten it up to 54 mph which was impressive to me.
I have 3 drones and don’t intend to sell any of them. The depreciation keeps me from selling any of them because I just can’t feel like I’m giving something away. I fly them all but tend to use the M2P for work.
