    P4P Speed restriction?

OK thanks, I'll check with different wind conditions and see if the opposite direction gets me any better. I thought I was in a low wind area and really didn't notice much difference with direction changes, but worth a re-check.

    P4P Speed restriction?

I just received my slightly used P4P this past week. Prior to this I had a P3P so there are some things that I'm learning about the new features. One item that I've not been able to figure out is what seems like a speed control when in "P" mode. I took it out this past weekend and the max it...

    Slight crash - worth repairing?

This past weekend I had my first interaction with a tree after 1-1/2 years of flying "crash free". There was some stress damage to one of the "struts" and now the blade rubs on the body on that arm. I believe everything else is still working ok. I have no idea on the process but would it...

How to take the Initial aeronautical knowledge test?

It seemed like that would be the case, but better to ask then try and memorize every flag on every chart... right :)

How to take the Initial aeronautical knowledge test?

Here is a perhaps a unlearned question but on the parts of any test as it relates to FAA certifications, do they provide the material that is needed for charts etc? I know it sounds silly, but here is an example 11 (Refer to FAA-CT-8080-2G, Figure 2.) If an unmanned airplane weighs 33 pounds...

    Just contacted the local tower

It was very interesting to me that the flight I was asking about was within 1.5 miles and directly in line with the runway. I told him that I personally thought that may be unsafe and I would be flying just above the treetops because of that. His response was as long as I was below 400' there...

NEW - Part 107 Released Today

Any word on the process for obtaining the "remote pilot certificate" with a small UAS rating?

    Just contacted the local tower

Just spoke to the local tower about a flight near the airport. The guy I spoke with was extremely friendly and said as long as they know the day and time that's all that is needed. He told me that they cannot enforce or tell us where and when to fly as long as we give notification. We went on...

Rolling Thunder - Footage used by local news - WCAX Vermont

Thanks, no question on the wires, lots to look out for! One of the main reasons why I upgraded from my phone to a K1 Tablet so I could see those details.

Windy Day at the Go Cart Track

Nicely done, this type of stuff we need to do more of to increase positive interactions with drones. I recently used mine to film the Rolling Thunder event locally, the folks loved it and the local news station used it on the 6 o'clock hour.
