only a the tip of the wire was showing when my phantom arrived, it may have been pushed back up inside. i dont recall which leg it was coming out of, but i believe it was with the front antenna.

as for the tx/rx, i ordered this one, but it wont arrive until this weekend.. so i cant really vouch for it.

also, the front light on the camera will turn red if it is charging. blinks while charging and solid when charged. are you seeing this on your camera when plugged into PC?
first thing to do is verify the USB port is powered. not all ports are. secondly, check the power settings for USB port. if your PC goes into sleep mode it may cut power to the ports. most laptops cut power to USB when you close the them.
I just started flying mine today. I have the prop guards installed, and they saved my props several times. Once my comfort level increases, I'll be removing them.
Dont the batteries affect the lift when they are mounted on the side like that? Would placing them lower or vertical increase your lift?
I've seen them mounted like yours or at the base of the landing gear.. I'm just curious if there is much difference.
i got a second battery, 2 sets of props, and prop guards. i had to wait to get to work before i could install the guards.. silly lack of an allen wrench. hopefully i can sneak out on my lunch break and take it for a spin.
