Bought a DJI Phantom 3 Standard about three weeks ago.
Have not been able to fly it yet because of the weather.
I'm a retired salesman living with my wife in NE Iowa City. This is my first attempt at flying RC aircraft.
I'm a non-current private pilot. Haven't flown for over ten years. I used to belong to the Green Castle Aero Club near North Liberty and flew all the planes they had.
Cessna, Piper, Aeronca and my favorite was a Citabria.
And ten years before that I flew many hours in ultralight aircraft. I was a dealer for Teratorn Aviation from Mason City back in the early 80's.
I realize that there isn't any physical connection with the way airplanes and RC's are controlled, Maybe its just the love of getting up off the ground and cruising around to see the beauty of the country side.
At any rate I'm looking forward to warmer weather so that I'l be able fly this cool machine.
And possibly meeting some of you.
