Have you try to crop P3P's 4k video in post?

I use Magix Video Pro X7 and also found that when choosing 'Export Movie' using HD values it was lower quality than I expected. I used 'Export to device' and chose HD quality to PC and the quality is superb! Other editors may show similar behaviour.

Doubled my FPV range with a soda can! :-D

A great practical and inexpensive idea, but those edges look nasty! Will the instructions cover the necessary replaceable consumables? ... I'm referring to the sticky plasters.... :-)

How to FPV my Phantom 2 ZENMUSE H3-2D GoPro Hero 3+ Black

I found this GoPro controller. It Won't work with the stock phantom receiver. You would have to replace the onboard receiver and stock tx with a matching tx/rx. http://www.gentles.ltd.uk/gentwire/hero.htm

How to FPV my Phantom 2 ZENMUSE H3-2D GoPro Hero 3+ Black

Re: How to FPV my Phantom 2 ZENMUSE H3-2D GoPro Hero 3+ Blac You can't control the shutter when flying. Do not use the wifi connection when flying - it will interfere with your tx /rx signal and you could lose your phantom ( there are loads of postings about this). You can set time-lapse to...

I fried something but don't know what

Sorry to hear that. Thats a shame. Does the GoPro function OK otherwise? Does it record to sd ok and do wifi and hdmi out work ok?

I fried something but don't know what

Hmmm. the board will be the cheapest fix. Gopro or gimbal may be an expensive repair

I fried something but don't know what

Thats good news.. you can check video output from the P2 before you order a new tx by connecting the video output to any device that has av input (tv, monitor etc)

I fried something but don't know what

They are very small surface mounted components so not easy to unsolder or replace (for me) so I don't know what values. I just replaced the entire board.

I fried something but don't know what

If you've fried them it will be obvious.. A burnt mess

I fried something but don't know what

open your phantom and check the two surface mounted resistors by the ribbon cable for the tx video and power that goes under the ph2 with the gimbal cable. If one of those is fried. Thats your problem.

I fried something but don't know what

it may be a resistor on the central circuit board. Not easily replaceable. it may be easier to replace the board, which is about the same price

Just crashed my brand-new Phantom 2

Hanno, its good news that it still flies. Watch this youtube video that gives good advice on avoiding flyaways. As it has been crashed, perform an advanced IMU calibration in the NAZA assistant software, even if it says that calibration is not necessary. Good luck with your future flights.
