I bought a 2.4ghz (2.3 really) FPV system, with GoPro cable from getfpv.com and installed it on the FC40 and it works great using the fatshark P2 goggles (using video in from 2.3ghz video rx).
However, I am now building a custom 250 scale racing quad that will have a 2.4 ghz radio system with...
Yeah, the one in the link is obviously way over priced and on second viewing, most that come up on search are not even available. The only "reasonable" one I have found it:

But still, $25 is too much... My spiro antennas hold a bend in the...
I mistakenly bought the fatshark predator v2 system for my fc40 before I realized that it runs at 5.8ghz. I can confirm that is definitely causes interference.
I'm in the process of investigating 2.3ghz tx/rx for fpv... Wonder what the cost would be to convert the fc40 over to 2.4ghz. What a...
Sorry if this is a redundant post but...
Having just found out that the fc40s are actually running a 5.8ghz controller tx/rx, it's no wonder that the fatshark predator v2 system I bought for fpv is causing bad interference (has already caused one semi-flyaway).
So, I am thinking that perhaps...
Re: FC40 throttle issues after installing T-Motor MN2214 mot
So, turns out it was the props I had put on. I got a set of high efficiency 9" carbon fiber props on ebay and this is what I initially used when it seemed to fly out of control.
Well, got it all back together, the motors swapped to...
Thanks for the post @DeweyAXD.

Re: FC40 throttle issues after installing T-Motor MN2214 mot
Hey thanks for the reply.
Other than the motors, everything is stock FC40, so it's the stock Phantom 1 TX, the newer one with the self centering throttle stick.
There is some major confusion out there on these T-motors and how...
The T-Motors (at least the ones I got) have the same thread as the original Phantom motors (2 of them CW and 2 of them CCW), and the stock self tightening props DO fit the thread, however the way the instructions say to install the motors you end up with self loosening threads, so once I swap...
Yep, I just got the T-Motors as well and had the exact same problem. To top it off, I didn't realize the problem and did a test flight in my shop and right after take off, the throttle seemed to stick on full throttle and it took off, unresponsive to throttling down.
Do you think this behavior...
Hey guys, I have a Phantom FC40, had a crash about 5 flights in which resulted in a motor breaking.
So, I figured I would use this as an excuse to upgrade to the T-Motor MN2214 Anti-Gravity motors and carbon fiber 9" blades.
I followed the instructions to the T when installing, the motors...
