This mod is a no go. You can hand catch your phantom everyday and the shell will still eventually fall apart. Much less adding additional weight. Its just not worth it. Maybe the p5 will have a proper shell.

Yeah, about the remote if you are on a newer firmware. You can always try and go back if it don't work. I just bought a remote on ebay with an older firmware. In my case it was worth it.

Use DankDrone Downloader to download the firmware then use dumldore to flash it.

Same problem here. I rolled the fw way back to 01.01.023 and all is well again.
