You say flying in a NFZ is risky behavior, but what if your whole state is a NFZ? Are you in MA? Perhaps there is still freedom loving there but the skies are off limits here in NJ.
The camera is definitely worth the upgrade for the P4P. I had a feeling this new firmware wasn't going to be fun and got shot down on these forums for it from the moderators. My real gripe and the reason I sold my P4P and haven't flown my Yuneec Typhoon G is that the temporary flight...
I used to fly there as well but even Liberty State Park (mainland) used to be fine. Furthest I got to the statue was about 1/2 mile away (Still small on camera) because you have to fly under 100 feet around there with all the tourist and police helicopters. Its techinically not a NFZ but park...
My intention as a software developer might not be to limit functionality but if I create an authentication mechanism that disables critical services until successful validation than I have accomplished the same thing. I have been in the field before and have had an issue with DJI doing that very...
I'm aware of no such threads as this happened right before I went on vacation. The update was much ado about nothing but the threat was real from DJI about video feed. I can read.
Thanks anyway and I'm sorry that there is irrational paranoia on the forums. Perhaps its in the simulacrum?
I have not seen nearly the range I used to see with my P3 (went almost 2 miles once) flying in the same locations. I actually had a scary incident a few days ago flying in Celebration, FL where it lost GPS repeatedly almost a mile out. I was able to bring it back in and get a better lock by...
That's a little harsh response don't you think from a moderator to a poster? I don't believe I was hysterical as DJI is threatening to cut off live feed and functionality if we don't sign up on next login (which coincided with my trip).
Thankfully, I checked it first before I left and didn't...
I am of the mindset that more accountability generally equals better society but constantly moving a goal post only encourages people to not comply. Some of us have lives and this is just one more thing to deal with as DJI can potentially block you from flying if you don't comply with firmware...
The only thing that pisses me off about this is I will be leaving for Florida on Saturday and am bringing my drone. Now I have to test this on Friday while I'm busy with everything else. I would hate to travel all the way with this and have to deal with nonsense when I'm trying to relax and fly...
That's correct. Its exactly like 4 years ago with those cheap chinese gimbals you had to solder yourself for the GoPro. Thanks to DJI, I don't really miss those days.
Sorry I was being lazy ;)
1080p, Spark really is for the average user. The Breeze still can't stand up to this as it doesn't have a gimbal (This is only 2D)
DJI's monopolization continues.
Very nicely done. I just figured since presumably the video was shot in 2016, that the P4P was not available. I had a feeling you had some Inspires up your sleeve. How did you get rid of the extreme fisheye on the fdr-ax100? I got a hell of a deal on one but with no way to remove it in post...
Good to know its back (I almost flew this morning on way to work). I checked after the visit and they had removed the NFZ a few days later. Between the rain and these HUUUUUUGE NFZs its making NJ flying even worse than it normally is in such busy airspace.
