I haven't tried, but I don't think you would get too much more flight time, and the extra stress on the bird couldn't be good either.
The P2V+ without the battery is 2 lbs. The battery is about 13oz.
Adding the battery would probably put the drone to the upper part of the weight limit... the...
When I fly in my neighborhood, I attract at least a dozen kids that want to try controlling it, and sometimes an adult comes and checks it out, because it's cool and they want one.
I also happen to be the president of my HOA. A few weeks ago I got a call from an angry neighbor that said, "DID...
I would not risk a $1300 bird for cheap knockoff props. The OEM props are $7.50 each, delivered... there is not enough savings to begin to make it worth it. The props have an important job...
And if they do fail, it won't be during the few minutes of testing low to the ground... it will be at...
When I first started flying my Phantom I was lucky to get 600 feet. Now my record stands at about 1700 feet away at about 300 feet in the air. I had a clear LOS to be bird the whole time on those long distance flights (I got LASIK so I can actually see it too) :)
At 75 feet its probably...
How about something like this?
http://www.amazon.com/Battery-Balancer- ... discharger
Seems like it could discharge the battery without wear and tear on our Phantom... with the added benefit of possibly diagnosing bad cells?
This is the first I have heard of one catching on fire... the most likely thing in the bird to actually catch on fire is actually the battery, but it does not sound like that started burning first.
I would call DJI directly on this. Manufacturers of consumer products don't like to hear their...
Seems like there is another story every day. This, at least two major incidents near airports in Florida and LAX, the NFL game.... these idiots are going to get them banned.
It's common sense. Don't fly it where there is a high probability it will hit a human being if it falls out of the sky...
I was flying around my neighborhood yesterday, and according to the timer on the app I had 16 minutes of record time. I know for sure I stopped the recording at least a minute before I turned the PV2+ off. There was no video on the SD card.
The SD card is a 32GB Samsung Pro. It was about half...
I did try a class 4 and the recorded video did actually drop some frames here and there. Not 100% sure if it was because of the card, but I don't have the problem with any of my class 10 cards... and microSD cards are so cheap now I see no reason not to get a class 10.
I'm using Samsung Ultra...
