It's a simple matter to measure the tree's height BEFORE flying autonomously.
In fact, I can't think of an easier way to measure a tree's height than using a quadracopter.
Yet another amazing thing to do with ground station is to fly at night! Just make sure you set all the waypoints above the trees. It's really fun to watch the thing fly by itself at night.

I had the identical problem last night, after a crash.
I discovered that the little white wire that connects the camera to the quad's body had come slightly unplugged. It's just a plug on the camera end.
I plugged it back in and all was well.
What a relief!
Again, sorry...I'm new.
What does one attach to the "canbus port" on the leg in order to enable Ground Station on the PV2?
I can see the port; I can't find any information on what might get plugged in there though.
