I broke my stock motors by putting in screws that were too long. Now I am trying to get something similar, maybe a little bit of an upgrade. I dont want to be spending $50 for a motor. Any suggestions? is there a certain size/type that the phantom must use?

So i replaced a broken stock antenna to my phantom transmitter with another stock antenna. I connected them by soldering the two wires. Today i went out to fly and i was out about 200ft and it went into fail safe. Any suggestions ideas why it would do that?

I disagree. the vision does not have a tilt axis therefore on a windy day (on gps mode) it will bank when the wind is pushing it giving you a sideways shot. I would recommend upgrading to a gimbal rather than the vision if you are worried about getting good shots. Obviously the vision has a...

I would get the ebay gimbal. just type in phantom gimbal on ebay. they usually run 90-100$. they work great as long as you set them up right. every once and a while mine will freak out mid flight so i just land and restart. When you buy the FPV, make SURE that you buy 5.8ghz rather than 2.4ghz...

now that you mention the delay and then the fail safe, it does sound like weak transmitter batteries. if it was a "flyaway" it would just maneuver on its own. also, make sure when you are flying that your antenna is bent at a 90deg angle upwards, that way you know you are getting the best signal.

It sounds to me like normal operation. the phantom is programmed to come home if the battery gets too low, the way that your video showed it dropping is normal. thats how it lands in fail safe mode. I would get a battery tester. I charge my batteries to 12.6v and i usually quit at about 11v...
