I started this drone journey about 2 years ago. I bought a Parrot AR 2.0, It one of those toy drones that didn't fly well and don't have much range. It was returned shortly after taking off on its own. I watched as the Phantom 3 came out, I figured it was too expensive to crash. When i bought a Parrot bebop 2 I thought it was awesome. I enjoyed having that longer range. It was nice to be able to have better control over flight. I loved that now I could record in 1080p. I posted some of my videos up with my little drone. I always stopped by the drone isle at Best buy and looked at the Phantoms. When the Phantom 4 came out I really wanted one. I knew my wife would kill me if I bought one. Sale after sale passed me by. Last October in 2017 I was studying to pass my Part 107. Which I passed. Being in construction gets you certain access most cant get. As for my 107 I passed the first time. One day Im on Best Buys web site and see the Phantom 4 Pro is $257 off. Over the past couple of months that drone went in and out of my cart as I debated on buying it. But this sale.... I had to have it. Almost everything related to that drone was on sale. I told my wife I was buying it. She said go for it. I cased in $350 worth of points and started filling my cart. I went to the store and picked up my purchase. When i returned home my wife was like you got it already? Well yeah, that was the idea. I spent that late afternoon and night charging three batteries and the controller. I read the book on settings. I didn't want to take any chances. The next day I was down at Lake Superior flying among the jagged ice piles.
