Thanks for your reply. Yes, I see that...but have not yet absorbed the DJI vocabulary. Is a "required item" something that the user (me) has to supply?...and if so, is it a standard item that can be attained at an electronics store?

The DJI FC40 camera installation instructions says to "insert the micro-SD card. I don't see any evidence of having received one in my quadcopter box. Is this something a purchase at an electronics store, like Best Buy?

It appears that after 4 hours of charging, I have 5.37v (The battery is marked: 2200mAh / 11.1v / 20c )

I've got the Phantom FC 40. There are NO flights on these batteries, they are brand new....I've merely started the motors numerous times trying to effect a maiden flight (but have run into various problems that have so far precluded that).
