For $100, I use this 5-in-1 Portable Power Pack with Jump Start It will charge 2 batteries in about an hour, but it will have to be recharged after that and the recharge time is about 24 hours.

I had just the opposite. I sent it in with no battery, no props and no SD card like they requested and when it came back it was repaired with a new shell and had a new SD card installed all under warranty due to stress cracks in the shell.

I believe you can buy just the Phantom 3 Advanced without the controller from DJI directly for about $500 or $599, which might save you a few dollars.

I would skip the standard and go with the Advanced. I bought the standard at first but soon found that the signal would drop out too soon and returned it for the advanced. The advanced is not that much more than the standard and gives you a lot more features and range for just a few more dollars.

You can always purchase just the AC from DJI directly and then be able to use all of the accessories you have and the controller.

Just make sure your RTH altitude is set correctly for the terrain so that if the signal is lost it will return home without going into the trees.
