    I replaced my ribbon cable, put the gimbal back on and started updating the firmware via the sd card. As it was updating the bird started making a loud beeping sound and all the lights on the bird went out. I’ve never seen anything like this before. Has anybody else run into this ?

    I’m going to replace my ribbon cable and see what that does. I’ll let you know how it works out.

    That makes sense, also the Phantom wouldn’t connect to the DJI go app. Do you think a bad ribbon cable could be the culprit ?

    I replaced the gimbal with a known good one. Updated firmware and everything is good to go. I’m thinking ribbon cable is bad on the original gimbal.

    Thanks for responding Rod, the lights on the controller and the link light on the Phantom are both red. The Phantom is a used one that I’m trying to get going for my Fire Dept. I’m not getting video or telemetry.

    Hey guys, I'm having similar problems with linking my remote to the drone. My controller won't link but i can control the gimbal and start the motors. if I can't update the firmware from the app is there a way to update it manually ? Thanks for the help.

    Please keep us updated. I am having the same issues with a P3 Standard that i'm trying to get going for my Fire Department.
