I sold my P3 last fall, but when I had it you could not even power up the motors in the restricted area around DC. Frankly I get the no drones near the White House, but **** I am 12 miles from the DC border.
I own 20 acres I just want to be able to fly around my property. I am not worried about legal issues there is no one here to report it. Just sucks that I can't fly it in my yard. I got tired of driving 30 mins just to fly my P3. Disappointed that Government over reach is so ridiculous where I live.
I live about 12 miles outside DC. I owned a Phantom 3 last summer, but sold it because I couldn't fly it on my property. I have been seeing these articles about Phantom 4's being able to fly in no fly zones after being prompted to acknowledge your in a restricted area. Has DJI implemented this...
I have 1 brand new Shopready DJI FPV Phantom 3 ND4 Filter (Pro/Adv) Part 46 for Phantom 3 Professional and Phantom 3 Advanced Quadcopter Camera. It has never been used. I returned my Phantom 3 Pro because I live in a no fly zone. $25.00 SHIPPED 1st class mail anywhere in the USA. If your outside...
This was my 1st flight with my Phantom 3 Pro. Much easier to fly 1 handed than I expected. Nothing spectacular did a slow 360 at 400ft about 2 mins into the video. Look forward to some more flights, but hate driving 25mins to get out of the no fly zone !!!!!!!
I'm guessing that setting up a group buy has probably been suggested before. If DJI is really **** about the price there is probably no way to get them cheaper.
I think alot of people are doing all this research ahead of buying it because it's big purchase. I just wanted one. Dropping $1300 really did not bother me. Monday I was watching ariel footage on YouTube and thought **** that would be cool to own. Tuesday I watched some more videos with reviews...
So I came across in a bit of a rant and quite frustrated yesterday... The city I live in does not have a full aircraft no fly zone over it. We have 5 small recreational airports in the area that recreational pilots fly out of. Dozens of small craft and helicopters fly over our city everyday...
I am going to hold onto it and go fly it outside the zone. A few of you got me thinking it might be worth it. Quite a few of you were very helpful. A couple of you have anger issues !
Your comments are just ignorant. I know where I live.... I didn't know I had to abide by FAA regulations that apply to full size aircraft to fly a drone. I did not know there was a 700sq mile no fly zone for drones here. Why would I ? Explain how I am not taking responsibility for my action ...
I will admit I did very little reading into the actual drone hobby. I just wanted to have some casual fun shoot a little video. I have flown tons of R/C Helicopters. I just heard alot of great things about the Phantom and wanted to check it out. I have a feeling with the standard version coming...
