I couldn't agree more. I'm hoping to meet other pilots who fly for surveying companies, where we could discuss our different strategies and techniques. I'm not looking to take advantage of others, but if we can learn as a collective, it would benefit all of us.

The iPad pro is a great tool as the screen gets brighter than other iPads. That is if you don't mind Apple. It's expensive, but worth it in my opinion. Especially if you're going to be professional.
I flew my phantom 2 in 2015, and got a $100 non-dji battery for it. I noticed that battery is still fully charged to this day even though the bird has been grounded for years. The other batteries discharged like they are programmed to.

16,000 AGL or MSL? If that's AGL you're most likely flying in class A airspace, and run the risk of being hit by commercial air traffic. It's probably a good idea to not fly that high.
I'm anxious to see if this will result in the ability to file a flight plan in DJI GO, like in AirMap. This will hopefully make the process even smoother.
Regardless of an app gives you the ability to deactivate flight lights, it's unsafe for reasons like lifeflight pilots not expecting a 3 pound object to be in their flight path.
