I get that. Actually some people have reported "No image transmission signal" AFTER updating! Go figure!

Make sure the camera isn't brushing up against the ribbon cable. Sometimes the ribbon moves out of position even slightly and the camera will hit it and could cause a dance like that.

I second that. If it ain't broke, don't fix it. Every time I turn my P3P on it says I need a firmware update but I won't update it because of the horror stories I've read about it messing things up. If it flies ok, don't worry about the update, at least not until one comes out that doesn't do...

You can also try to "force charge" it. Turn on the battery with the "one push, and hold" just like if it was in the drone. Once it's turned "on", plug in the charger.

What he said! If it is already within 65' of the home point it will think it's close enough and just land right where it is. That could definitely be a problem if your home point is near any obstacles.
