I can't agree that this is a Phantom-only forum. There are "Industry" and "General" discussion sections as well. I come here for all things UAV/drone/whatever. You guys have made a nice forum here, and with the introduction of the Mavic I knew right where to come back to for all the updates...

The ones from Harbor Freight are quite cheap. I think the playroom ones I looked at were unnecessarily expensive (and had these cutouts for ABC's and such). I saw HF had a roll-up one for like $10 or so, which could easily be cut up into smaller pieces and roll it up even smaller...

Thats a bit of a bummer. I've used my dad's P4 with my iphone5, and there's a lot jammed into that little screen. I'm wondering if the controller offloading some of the stats and control will free up more real estate for the video. If I don't have to buy a shield, I'd love to save the $200.

The OcuSync is just for the goggles I thought. I'm more curious if the little display on the controller shows video or just flight stats.

The P2 will still have a place in my lineup, for the simplicity and the lack of an app requirement... but if the Mav is anywhere near what the P4 is, my poor P2 is going to collect a lot of dust.

I registered. I'm also just a little disgruntled that I'm not getting my $5 back. I clearly wasn't paying attention when they said the $5 refund only applied for the first 30 days. Truthfully I was waiting for the AMA to do something but I guess they opted out. Little disgruntled about that too...

I don't mind the sunshade on the BP, but I've attached my 1.3GHz RX, extra battery, and some "cable management" for my goggles. Not to mention some extensions for my antennas when I use the BP's RX. Needless to say, with all this extra stuff I can't detach the sunshade so I just leave it on all...

I'm planning to bypass the embedded battery entirely since I power my external RX and goggles off the jacks on the black pearl. The battery has always been a little finicky for me. I really do like the black pearl otherwise, it has given me plenty of room for expansion with all its connections...
