Phantom 4 rtk versus phantom 4 pro questions

Have you looked at Drone Harmony? I've never used RTK (I use standard P4Pro) but I did end up with DH after trying Pix4d, Litchi. Free version lets you do standard maps, so very easy to try it out - support is good but not 'instant' replies in my experience. Adam

What's the issue with P4 batteries?

Echo what others have said about double checking the P4 battery is properly clicked in place - it's the last thing I check before powering up! I've been using my P4Pro for agri/mapping work for 4 years, still on original batteries (approx 70 cycles) but I do look after them. Most flights never...

Need a POI under 2 Meters of altitude and 7 meter meters of radius

If you can find somewhere lower to launch the drone would that work? Or do the vertical sensors object to being close to the ground? I can't test it at the moment, might give it a try (p4p)

    Phantom 4 Pro Gimbal Protection

Greetings, I've had a few P4P and the DJI original clear plastic Gimbal / Lens cover seems to look for a reason to break (near the leg clips), never been a fan. One of my 2nd hand P4P came with a smaller soft/black plastic cover which was much better - can anyone point me to a UK supplier? I've...

P4 v2 battery case crack - before I need to panic.....

I have 4 P4 v1 batteries and they all have this 'feature' to some degree, never had any issues but I do check/inspect the catches regularly.

What the Phantom 5 should have been?

They have run out of old yoghurt pots which they melt down and use for the airframe and battery covers. So it seems.....

    Mars Drone

I've seen a simulation somewhere that shows the heli being dropped and the Rover driving away before it takes flight. That would certainly make sense with the amazing cameras that are fitted to the Rover - you wouldn't want them getting dusty. Let's face it, NASA isn't staffed by muppets -...

    P3 standard compatible with litchi?

As he says, P3S is litchi compatible. Actually, the P3S is a fantastic 'sweet spot' for litchi because it's very cheap for what it can do, you aren't throwing £1000 in the air 'autonomously', for a while I used it to test missions before committing the P4P to the same. I've had Phantoms since...

    Typical Range on 3 Standard

Mine (UK CE) was around 1200 feet, far more than I ever needed. The picture was already breaking up a little before this point - simple reflectors off Ebay helped with this but I never explored further out. Adam

Litchi export strange waypoints in my mission

I seem to recall that Litchi doesn't deal with waypoints that are too close together, I've not used it for a while but I remember that changing altitude got around it. Will try when it's next not raining.....

UK Selling drone kit (not a classified)

I'm thinking of selling my spare P4P (which includes HPRC 2710 case), but I'm struggling to see how people actually sell these on Ebay, etc. How do you ship them, check that the seller isn't going try to scam, etc Do most people meet up halfway, see it fly, handover? A [edit] Followup question -...

    Reduction of satellites detected

Instructor is CAA approved, so it's a case of: - the CAA must think it's important enough - so the instructor tells us to check it and put that info in our operating manuals. - so I do check it, and fly at other times if I can do. You might well be right that it's a load of bolox, but it is...

    Reduction of satellites detected

On my PfCO course, it was specifically mentioned as a preflight check. Easy to do, see no reason to ignore it.
